Just saying before people who ride once or twice a week or who are very lucky or don’t live in a place with winter (it says all weather, if it’s not all weather it really shouldn’t). I should note, I used this bike as a COMMUTER. To recap: It took two defective motors to get to the good bike, then it took 10 months of that bike to have that great customer service vanish, and my LBS went full criminal on me. They also did not assemble the chainwheel correctly, they lost my last battery key and my last $150 folding Abus lock key which was left in the battery, they routed the front brake cable directly under the fork and above the tire and secured it with velcro and an unclipped dirty white zip tie, replaced the broken bolt on one of the cranks with a non-allen bolt and according to izip I’m pretty much shit out of luck and this dealer will probably still exist. Now 18 months, two bikes and three fucking motors into my ebike dreams I’m fucked, out $160 bucks for machine shop work which may or may not have actually happened but definitely, 100% was not asked for, needed or supposed to be done and on top of it, two blocks from the LBS and boom goes the error code. When they replace that replacement with a brand new bike a whole model year newer the customer service seems amazing.īut when you take that bike to your dealer to get the chainwheel fixed and get some new brake pads and for some goddamned reason they end up sending the motor to the machine shop, or at least telling you that (and charging you for that) when izip says that motors can’t be fixed by a machine shop problems with the motor are handled via replacement. It seems just as great when the replacement to that motor does the same shit three months down the line. The customer service seems great at first when you’re two months in and your motor has a defect.
